bazlwhammy

BazL Whammy is a moniker of Samuel Johnson Lilly, musician. It was given by some British girls. Generally I don't use this name anymore, but this site is a place for hearing and downloading my solo music projects.

A little description of these for the people:

Message from the High Mage is live real time half improvised half composed music for three keyboards, homemade chimes, iphone drum machine, effects, and voice

Aerial is purely improvised etherial piano music

Bomblastic Beastalliance is computer generated drum and bass influenced beat music with many many self-recorded samples

Rhythm of the Street is mainly composed songs, all recorded real time, for accordion, foot percussion, and voice. One track features gong and toy piano.

The Incredible Sidewalk Dream is a collection of songs written at various stages before I moved to Japan, where I finished the mixing. Please excuse my crooning vocals.

Why Send the Whale was recorded in August of 2006 in Portland ME, on Exchange street, where I saved money to come to Japan by busking. This is a 4 CD album with 3 CDs of accordion, voice, and foot drumset, and one CD of keyboard and laptop improvisation.

Prelude to the Unexpected is piano compositions, a few improvisational "tunes," and two purely impromptu tracks. Recorded 6/6/06
